HEAT RESISTANT
TO 500°C

EN 407 Contact Heat Performance testing requires that a glove withstand increasing temperatures up to a maximum of 50°F for at least 15 seconds to be approved. This means the temperature inside the glove did not rise more than 50°F within 15 seconds of constant contact with an object that was 932°F in temperature.

EN 407 Contact Heat Performance Levels:

  • Level 1: 212°F / 100°C
  • Level 2: 482°F / 250°C
  • Level 3: 662°F / 350°C
  • Level 4: 932°F / 500°C
