The EN ISO 374 standard for hand protection tests gloves for resistance to chemicals. Each glove goes through testing for 18 different chemicals. Gloves are tested for resistance to penetration (chemicals coming through the glove), permeation (chemical saturating the glove), and degradation (chemicals breaking down the glove). The alpha characters shown on the EN 374 pictogram indicate the chemicals from which a glove can protect users. The items below have been tested to the 2016 standard.
